Assistant Tribal Climate Liaison

The Assistant Tribal Liaison will work with the Senior Tribal Climate Resilience Liaison to advise the NW CASC on tribal issues as they pertain to climate change, resource vulnerability, and climate adaptation actions. Our liaisons also provide climate adaptation training to tribal nations, develop partnerships to advance tribal resilience to climate impacts, and serve as an informational hub between Tribes, Federal agencies, researchers, and other tribal and non-tribal partners.

This position reports to:  ATNI’s Senior Tribal Climate Resilience Liaison

Duty location:  Flexible within the Pacific Northwest with possible locations including the Portland, OR, Spokane, WA, and Seattle WA areas

Salary: $43,683-68,290/year (location dependent and commensurate with experience)

Climate Resilience Program Coordinator

This full-time position is an employee of ATNI will serve as the Program Coordinator for ATNI’s Climate Resilience Program, which serves Tribes located in the Pacific Northwest. The duty station for this position is flexible within the Pacific Northwest. The Program Coordinator will work with ATNI’s programmatic and administrative staff to coordinate and support our climate programs.

This position reports to:  ATNI’s Program Director for Climate Resilience Program

Duty location:  Flexible within the Pacific Northwest

Salary: $58,560– $87,613/year [location dependent and commensurate with experience, and based upon the GS salary schedule ranging from a GS-9 (Step 1) to a GS-12 (Step 1)]

Tribal Partners

Tribal Gaming Director With the Squaxin Island Tribe 

Plans, directs and implements all Federal, State and Tribal gaming regulations, manages staff, develop and administer budget, develop(s) unit goals and objectives according to Commission policy. Works harmoniously with Casino Management to insure maximum productivity and profitability of the operation while promoting an environment of strong compliance with applicable regulations. Develops a work ethic that sets an example for all peers and subordinates to follow.

Boarding School Initiative Project Manager

This position is located in the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Trust Services. The Directorate is responsible for the policy development, management, and implementation of Environmental and Natural Resource focused programs in accordance with BIA’s goals and objectives.

Duties

As the Directorate Environmental and Natural Resources Management, the
incumbent is responsible for the policy development, management, and implementation of
Environmental and Natural Resource focused programs in accordance with BIA’s goals and
objectives. The Directorate will ensure that appropriate measures and compliance are designed
and implemented to improve land, wildlife, fire management, climate resilience, environmental,
cultural and natural resources with proper relation between policy and operational activities.

Directorate of Environmental and Natural Resources Management

Advises the Deputy Bureau Director – Trust Services (DBD Trust Services), on the status and
effectiveness of program operations and identifies program weaknesses and strengths and
recommends reprogramming of major policies and programs.
