The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Director of Government Affairs & Policy.

The Director of Government Affairs & Health Policy (Government Affairs Director) provides support to the Executive Director and the Northwest Tribes by serving as the primary resource for federal and state policy information; ensures that Northwest Tribes have the information and resources to advocate on health policy issues affecting their Tribes and citizens; ensures that federal and state government representatives are informed about Northwest Tribes health policy priorities and programs; and oversees projects to increase the number of American Indians/Alaska Natives with careers in healthcare and health policy.

The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Tribal Community Health Provider Program Manager. 

The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board oversees several Tribal Community Health Provider (TCHP) Programs, including the Dental Health Aide (DHA), Behavioral Health Aide (BHA), and Community Health Aide (CHA) programs. The TCHP Program Manager supports the overall work of the TCHP Programs, and collaborates with all three teams and outside partners in efforts to carry out the coordination for programming, services, and outreach.

The TCHP Program Manager is responsible for providing oversight to monitor, track, and report progress on the program’s tasks and objectives, and coordinating administrative support functions for all TCHP Program Directors, as well as the Portland Area CHAP Certification Board (PACCB). The TCHP Program Manager collaborates with states, Tribes, and other organizations on project related activities, provides specialized support and logistics to the overall goals and objectives of advisory committees’, boards, and workgroup members, and project Tribal sites.

The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Behavioral Health Program Director. 

NPAIHB assists the Tribes of the Pacific Northwest in delivering high-quality, patient-centered, and culturally relevant health services. We support our Tribes to build expert workforces and systems which are accountable and fiscally sustainable. The Behavioral Health Program Director (BHPD) is a leader and central resource for Behavioral Health technical assistance, training, management, quality assurance, and supervision of the NPAIHB’s Behavioral Health program, including Behavioral Health projects and services.

The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Tribal Injury Prevention Project Coordinator. 

The Tribal Injury Prevention Cooperative Agreement Program (TIPCAPP) Injury Prevention Program (IPP) Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to coordinate the TIPCAP IPP project, funded under a cooperative agreement with Indian Health Service (IHS).

The TIPCAP IPP Project Coordinator will collaborate with Tribal, state, county, and other organizational representatives on project related activities. The Project Coordinator provides a broad range of support services to the project, and has primary responsibility to help the project meet the goals and objectives of the cooperative agreement with IHS. These support services must be accomplished with minimal day-to-day supervision.
