Description

The Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI) is seeking a strategic and motivated individual to serve as Senior Policy Manager. This role advances ATNI’s mission by leading policy advocacy efforts, developing responsive strategies, and ensuring Tribal priorities are reflected across regional, state, and federal policy arenas.

The Senior Policy Manager works closely with the Executive Director, Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs, Tribal leaders, and partners to track policy issues affecting ATNI member Tribes and coordinate effective advocacy responses. The position leads policy research, supports resolution development and tracking, prepares advocacy materials, and helps facilitate policy convenings and discussions. This role also collaborates across ATNI programs to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational priorities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, action-oriented, and a strong written and verbal communicator with knowledge of policy issues important to Pacific Northwest Tribes. Experience in advocacy, policy, or Tribal governance settings and the ability to build respectful, collaborative relationships are strongly preferred.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in Portland, Oregon, with opportunities for hybrid work within ATNI’s service area and occasional regional travel. Description

The Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI) is seeking a collaborative and motivated individual to serve as Natural Resources Policy Coordinator. This position advances the natural resource priorities of ATNI’s member Tribes by supporting coordinated policy development, advocacy, research, and relationship-building across regional, state, and federal policy processes.

The Natural Resources Policy Coordinator works closely with Tribal technical staff, ATNI leadership, and partners to ensure Tribal perspectives are represented in policy discussions. The role supports resolution development and tracking, monitors legislation and agency actions, convenes working groups and listening sessions, and develops policy tools and resources for Tribal use. Strong research and writing skills, cultural humility, and experience working respectfully with Tribal governments and Indigenous communities are essential.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in Portland, Oregon, with opportunities for hybrid or remote work for candidates located within ATNI’s service area. The role requires regular regional travel (approximately 15–20%) to support meetings and events. Description

The Indian Law Resource Center is an Indigenous-led and staffed organization that provides legal and advocacy assistance to Indigenous peoples of the Americas to protect their lands, create and uphold laws grounded in Indigenous legal principles and values, including self-determination, and to advance all the human rights of
Indigenous peoples and individuals. Founded in 1978, the Center has an established reputation based on its leadership in gaining the adoption of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The Executive Coordinator can expect to gain broad experience with both NGO management and with the Center’s law and policy advocacy related to federal Indian law, Indigenous women’s rights, and international human rights. The Executive Coordinator will provide direct support to the Executive Director in managing the Center’s administrative, development, governance, and program work. They will provide high-level written and administrative support for all projects involving the Executive Director, including creating presentation materials, preparing correspondence, providing general organizational support, and coordinating calendar scheduling and travel logistics. They will work with the Executive Director and our Communications and Development staff on grant applications and management, as well as on individual and event-based fundraising. The Executive Coordinator will serve as Board liaison, preparing materials for Board of Directors meetings and leading on Board meeting planning and logistics. The Executive Coordinator will have frequent, direct contact with members of the Board of Directors and all Center staff. In-person or hybrid work from our office headquarters in Helena, Montana, is strongly preferred. The position will require some travel. The Executive Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director.

Position Summary:

Provides and coordinates the necessary services to help prevent the breakup of Native families. Ensures the efficient and effective delivery of Indian Child Welfare (ICW) program services by coordinating and participating in culturally relevant child and family welfare services with Cowlitz Tribal families, legal department, state courts, and state department social service specialists on behalf of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. The ICW Case Worker maintains professionalism in all interactions with internal and external

customers. Adheres to confidentiality and grant contract requirements. Honors and represents the mission, vision, and values of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and the Indian Child Welfare (ICW) Program.

Request for Proposals (RFP) – On-Call Fee-to-Trust Consulting Services

Introduction:

The Nez Perce Tribe (“Tribe”) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or consultants to provide on-call professional Fee-to-Trust consulting services. The selected consultant(s) will assist the Tribe in evaluating, preparing, submitting, and managing Fee-to-Trust applications on an as-needed basis. The Tribe seeks consultants with demonstrated expertise in federal Indian land acquisitions, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) trust land regulations, environmental compliance, governmental coordination, and project management. The Tribe intends to establish one or more professional services agreements to support current and future land acquisition opportunities that advance tribal sovereignty, economic development, governmental operations, housing, natural resource protection, cultural preservation, and community services.
