COVID-19 UPDATE

To minimize any health impacts to Tribal elders at our 2022 TCC, we are asking that each of our TCC delegates confirm that they have been vaccinated before attending our in-person event. Those that are unable to attest to being vaccinated or that are unwilling to wear masks when indoors, are welcome to watch our recorded TCC presentations or to apply to attend our Oregon-TCC in late 2022.

Cost for attending

Tribal delegates  are asked to cover transportation costs to and from Anchorage airport, however, there is no cost to attend the camp (food, lodging, and field trips are all provided by ATNI and our partners).

Tribal delegations are requested to bring at least one WIFI-enabled laptop to the Camp.

Why a tribal climate camp?

TCC Goals and Objectives are based in understanding Native climate sensitivity

Native communities are among the most climate-sensitive groups within the Northwest, Southern and Eastern regions of the United States. Increasing the resilience of tribal governments and native communities is critical to prepare for future climate change scenarios.

TCC_Goals

Learning objectives will focus on building a common knowledge base in climate science and on building individual and team capacity to lead and manage for change and adaptation across departments within a tribe and between the tribe and partner agencies and organizations.

Special Thanks to our Sponsors and Partners
