Please join the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (WA DNR) and the Puget Sound Climate Preparedness Collaborative on October 3rd from 11am – 3pm in Seattle for a workshop on DNR’s forthcoming climate resilience strategy and local level needs related to climate preparedness.
WA DNR is developing a climate change resilience strategy to guide planning related to the agency’s high-priority climate-related risks and responses, and to spur collaboration between WA DNR, communities, and other entities in preparing for and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
As part of the strategy’s development, WA DNR would like to hear from local government stakeholders and other partners about the challenges, needs, and opportunities they face in planning for and building climate resilience. WA DNR is also requesting feedback on preliminary themes emerging from the planning process. Input gathered at this meeting will be used to inform the plan’s strategies and identify potential partnership opportunities.
Please save the date for this opportunity to help shape the DNR strategy and to share your experiences and insights on local climate resilience with peers.
